Coast Line Models is just me – Alan Jones. I set up shop in order to help plug a gap in Welsh modelling, particularly for the Cambrian Railways. My own interests span form the 1860s to the 1960s, and the further back you go the greater the lack of suitable models. I hope to redress this in some small way, not just for myself but for everyone else out there stuck in the same situation! As a by-product of this, branch line modellers everywhere should also benefit!
Please do note that in addition to running this service I am a full time employee, and have various other time demands. For this reason I don’t do phones, however I am always happy to chat by written word, through email or snail mail.
Using the Online Shop
Finding things – Some things like GWR Cabside Numbers can require a lot of scrolling when going through the product menu, however there is a shortcut! Simply enter the number required in the search box and you’ll be taken straight to it!
You can also use the product filters on the left side of the Shop pages to narrow down the field of things you’re looking for, for example you can show items from only one Railway company regardless of what type of item it is, so all GWR products, wagon bits, loco bits etc will all be show together if so desired. You can show products by type, even things for specific classes of locomotives if you so wish. (Very useful for finding number plates!)
At the very top of the page you will see a ‘My Account’ button. Here you can change your address details and view past orders, or if you don’t yet have an account, create one. (Accounts can also be created during checkout).
Payment and Postage
Products here will display the stock status so that you can order in confidence. I will normally post the same day, but depending on my working pattern that week it may well be after last post cut off and so will not actually being transit till the following day. I use Royal Mail for all items, airmail for all international orders.
Payments are currently handled by Paypal, and I am happy to receive cheques and Postal Orders by snail mail as well as bank transfers. Please quote your order reference with all payments by post and allow time for payment to clear.
